How can I book a session with you?

My advice to everyone is…book EARLY! During the busy season (summer-late fall) I can book up as far as 3 months out. Email me or jump on my “contact” page and I will work with you to understand what you would like photographed and then we can select a date. Typically closer to the session date is when I nail down an exact location and meeting time and place.

When do you schedule your photo shoots?

I recommend  shooting a very precise time of day, generally the last sixty to ninety minutes before the sun has completely set. (example: In June we may start a session around 7:00 pm; in December we would be starting a session around 4:00pm)

Do you have an assistant/second shooter?

Yes! My assistant/second shooter helps me round up children at weddings and big extended shoots, double checks to make sure all the details look perfect plus shoots with her unique perspective throughout the session.

Do you offer DVDs/digital images?

Yes, my largest collection includes all digital images which also include the printing rights to those specific images. You can also choose to purchase individual digital images a la carte. A DVD/digital image(s) are not included in your session fee. All digital images, prints, products, and more are sold separately.

What are your fees?

Session fees are $150 and $50 per additional family (this does not include any digital photos or products). I offer a range of products including digital images, boutique art prints and gallery-wrapped canvases There is a minimum order of $300 with clients typically investing $500+ in digital images, prints, and products.

what is in your bag?

I’m a Canon girl! I shoot with a 5D Mark II. My favorite lens are my 85mm f/1.2L II, my 50mm f/1.2L and my 24-70mm f/2.8L lens.  I love natural light but I love my Quantum wireless off-camera flash for merging with available light and providing light for an otherwise dark scene. My backup camera is a Canon 50D and Canon 580 EX flash.

What types of sessions do you do?

My favorite sessions to shoot are families, extended families and weddings. I also love high school seniors and couples! If after we chat, you find you are interested in something outside my area of expertise, I would be happy to refer you to other great photographers in the area who may specialize in what you are after!

Where are photo shoots held and what should I wear?

I work with each of my clients to create a customized experience. Once you have booked a session, we will schedule an in-person or over-the-phone consultation to talk about all of those important details! I will also send you an online information packet with details and links to everything you want to know about a session, including: investment and collections; examples of locations (nature, urban, rustic, etc); photos and links of outfits/color schemes that I believe photograph well — as well as recommended places to shop in town and online; detailed information about printing your images; examples of how to arrange the photos around your home and recommended sizes for print collections.

How can I contact you?

I am excited to chat with you! E-mail is the best way! jen@jenniferwphotography.com.
